Belden Inc (“Belden”) has acquired OTN Systems N.V. (“OTN Systems”), a leading Belgian provider of automation networking infrastructure solutions for harsh, mission-critical environments. The strategic acquisition of OTN Systems by Belden caters to growing demand for automated production by adding proprietary technology and mission-critical solutions for more completing an end-to-end offering portfolio in industrial connectivity. In addition, the acquisition accelerates Belden’s Customer Innovation initiatives with advanced solution selling and consulting capabilities, allowing Belden to address larger industrial automation projects independently. OTN Systems and Belden’s product complementarity (under the Hirschmann, Tofino, XTran and Dragon PTN brands) underpins the significant commercial synergies to both businesses
Acquired by GIMV as part of the Nokia Siemens Network carve-out in 2008, OTN Systems is a leading provider of automation networking infrastructure solutions for harsh, mission-critical environments. OTN Systems' XTran technology allows clients to easily build, maintain and monitor complex networks in mission-critical industrial B2B markets, such as Power Transmission, Mass Transportation, Oil & Gas and IIoT.
