Sharing the Warmth: Oppenheimer's Inaugural Coat Drive

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. December 03, 2025

Throughout September and October, Oppenheimer branches across the country united in an effort to spread warmth and support those in need through our inaugural coat drive in support of National Share the Warmth Day on October 21, and in partnership with One Warm Coat. What began in 1992 with a single woman and one donated coat has since grown into a national movement rooted in humanitarianism, volunteerism, and environmental sustainability.

This season, our teams collected more than 200 coats—each one offering comfort to someone facing the cold winter months ahead. In addition, we raised over $3,500 in monetary donations, providing One Warm Coat with the resources to extend their reach even further. These contributions directly support individuals and families experiencing hardship, ensuring that something as simple as a warm coat is accessible to all.

Beyond the numbers, this initiative reflects something deeper: our firmwide commitment to philanthropy and our shared belief in stepping up for our communities. As the holiday season approaches and temperatures drop, our collective generosity demonstrates what can happen when we come together with purpose.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, shared the cause, or encouraged others to get involved. Your kindness helps make the season a little brighter, and a lot warmer—for those who need it most.
