Biography:

Morgan Newman is a Director of Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in the NYC Chrysler East office. Her passion for finance originates with her study experience abroad, in the rural area of Amacambini in South Africa. After studying grassroots economic development, Morgan became an advocate for impact investing, translating her studies into everyday life. After a few years of working for USAID contractors in Washington DC, Morgan followed her passion to New York City and joined her mother’s practice in 2012. Since then, Morgan’s goal has been to revolutionize the way financial advising is perceived by the Millennial generation.

In addition to investment management, Morgan runs the Women and Wealth at Work program for the Newman Group – a turnkey program designed to spread their message of women’s empowerment through financial education. To date, Morgan and Cindy have presented to Fortune 500 companies, networking organizations and trade associations – reaching thousands of women at various points in their personal and professional lives.

Her passion for empowerment through education goes beyond her work as a financial advisor. She remains an active member of the Chi Omega Sorority and currently serves as an advisor to the chapter at her alma mater, Bucknell University. She served as President of the NYC Chi Omega Alumnae Chapter for three years and only left that role to create a new nonprofit organization, Chi Omega IGNITE, which creates lasting programs for high school girls in NYC to recognize and vocalize their unique strengths. She has also been an active volunteer for ORT America, a global education and vocational training organization; having recently served as Chair of the Young Professionals Committee, and as a member of both the Board of Directors and the Women’s American ORT Foundation.

Morgan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with minors in Mathematics and International Politics from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA and her Certificate of Financial Planning from NYU. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband.
