Biography

Jim Beyloune joined Oppenheimer in 1994 and brings nearly four decades of wealth management experience to his clients. Jim focuses on advising affluent families and institutions, including trusts, estates, non-profits, endowments, and pension plans. He pays extremely close attention to client service, and prides himself on delivering a high-touch client experience. Additionally, Jim feels that clear and open communication, along with being a thoughtful listener is important when assisting clients with their wealth management plans. Each client, whether affluent or early in their investment journey, is treated with the highest level of respect, effort, and attention.

Jim prides himself on his clients’ success. While he can point to many examples over the past 35 years, here is one brief illustration: Jim worked with a high-income earner who had little in savings, little in investments, and a big spending habit. After a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and objectives, as well as an in-depth explanation of the benefits of investing, the client committed to a personalized wealth management plan. A number of years later the client was amazed at how much he amassed. Because of this accomplishment, he was able to send his two children to college and is on his way to a very healthy retirement. Jim’s client felt he has learned the lesson: it's not about what you 'earn,' but rather, it's about what you 'keep.'

He has been recognized by Forbes/Shook as a Best in State Wealth Advisor (2021 and 2022), is a graduate of Boston University, and holds the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses. Jim also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation. The CIMA® certification is an advanced professional education and certification program for advisors who desire to serve their clients with the most sophisticated investment and portfolio management knowledge.

Jim is passionate about helping his local community and often can be found volunteering at his local church on a number of causes that help the less fortunate. He is currently the Vice President of the Sudbury, Massachusetts St. Vincent DePaul conference, and has coached various youth sports teams including soccer, baseball, and basketball.

During his downtime, Jim enjoys rooting for his hometown (Boston) teams, the Celtics, the Red Sox, as well as the New England Patriots. If he’s not watching the game, you might find him on the golf course or learning a new song on his guitar.
