Oppenheimer provides Fixed Income research that is thoughtful and differentiated, so that Oppenheimer Financial Professionals can make informed investment decisions with their clients. Our approach is client-centric, incorporating both an understanding of the operating position, risk profile, and policy constraints of each client, as well as the efficient market execution of a particular strategy.
For high yield, we cover credits across multiple industry sectors including consumer, retail, energy, technology, media and telecom, paper and packaging, chemicals, and metals and mining. In addition, we provide municipal research as well as emerging markets research.
Colleen Burns
Title:High Yield Research
Colleen is a Senior Analyst covering High Yield Consumer and Retail sectors. She joined the Firm in 2008 and previously was with CIBC World Markets and Bear Stearns. Colleen holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from Boston College.
Omar Zeolla
Title:Emerging Markets High Yield Corporate Research
Omar is a desk analyst at Oppenheimer where he focuses on Emerging Markets corporate fixed income, specializing in Latin American issuers. Omar has been at Oppenheimer since March 2012. He has over 15 years experience in research and investing in Emerging Markets having worked in both the sell side and buy side. Omar holds a BA and MA in Economics from Fordham University and has the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.
Rich Estabrook
Title:MBS/ABS Institutional Sales
Rich has been with Oppenheimer for seven years as a Managing Director in the Taxable Fixed Income Department focusing on investment strategies in the agency mortgage backed securities (MBS) markets. Rich holds a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana.
Jeffrey Lipton
Title:Municipal Credit Research
Jeff is a Managing Director and head of Oppenheimer’s Municipal Research and Strategy effort. Prior to joining the Firm in June 2014, Jeff spent 14 years as Director of Municipal Research at two buy-side, investment management firms and worked for a major insurance company. Jeff holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Delaware.
