Erik co-founded The Hanhauser Group of Oppenheimer in 2021 after spending six years working for a leading global asset manager in Denver, Colorado. He offers specialized experience in providing customized advice on multi-generational trusts and estates, wealth structuring, tax-efficient planning and investments.
Erik holds and maintains the Certified Financial Planner® designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He also holds the following FINRA registrations: General Securities Representative (Series 7) and the Uniform State Law Exam (Series 63).
Since joining, Erik has been a recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager award from 2022-2024*.
In 2024, Erik was recognized in Fortune magazine as a ‘Five Star Wealth Manager Under 40’*, as well as being recognized in the April 2025 edition of Bloomberg Businessweek highlighted under ‘Five Star Wealth Managers You Need to Know’*.
Outside of work, you can find Erik fly fishing, training for his next half ironman competition, and improving his capabilities both on the golf course and in the kitchen. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, he now resides in Conshohocken, PA.
A co-founder of The Hanhauser Group, John brings his 37 years of experience in the financial services industry to each client relationship, forming comprehensive and tailored investment strategies. His experience includes 17 years at Oppenheimer, paired with his extensive prior experience at firms such as Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon (Dreyfus) and Van Kampen.
He maintains a commitment to integrity, objectivity, and professionalism while providing advice to clients ranging from the emerging affluent to the ultra-high net worth.
Prior to joining the financial industry, John taught Biology while being the head coach of the football and wrestling teams at Weber High School in inner-city Chicago.
He is also a proud alumni of the University of Pittsburgh, and a member of the 1976 National Championship football team. He was inducted in the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
Sean is a financial advisor with The Hanhauser Group. He brings 11 years of experience in the financial services industry focusing on outsized financial events, illiquid assets in private and publically-held companies, and concentrated equity positions. His team brings over 50 years of experience in comprehensive financial planning and wealth management.
Sean graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Risk Management and Insurance. He earned a Master’s Degree of Science in Investment Management and Financial Analysis from the Fox School of Business. He was also proud alumni of Temple University’s Track and Field team.
