Seth Opel is a Financial Advisor at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. in the Washington D.C. office, focusing on families and entrepreneurs. Seth excels at finding creative solutions to complex problems, and enjoys helping clients pursue their greatest goals with clarity and confidence.
Having earned a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, Seth now holds both the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. Prior to joining Oppenheimer in 2023, Seth led a successful career in business development, consulting, and management, where he gained invaluable experience working with hundreds of entrepreneurs and executives across a broad spectrum of industries.
Seth has served as a Board member and volunteer for a number of organizations including Rotary International, the Montgomery County Small Business Association (MCSBA), and several regional chambers of commerce; and he currently serves on the Board of the University of Maryland Alumni Association - Montgomery County Chapter.
Outside the office, Seth's activities include playing tennis and basketball, cycling, and hiking; he is also a lover of music, fine arts, and travel. Seth resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with his wife Yasmin and baby daughter Rose.

Shippen Royer has 10 years of experience as a financial advisor, focusing on retirement income planning and asset management.
Shippen began his career by founding and selling two companies out of college, before pursuing his interest in wealth management. He worked at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and Phyxius Alternative Investments prior to joining Oppenheimer in 2018. Shippen holds the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, as well as Life and Health Insurance.
Shippen has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business – Economics from Rollins College. In his free time he enjoys cheering on the Washington Capitols and playing squash at Metropolitan Club, where he is a member. Shippen lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and two children.
