Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. September 25, 2025
Oppenheimer’s European Consumer Investment Banking Team is pleased to have acted as Financial Adviser to Lantmännen Unibake on its acquisition of Boboli Benelux B.V.

On 1 September 2025, Lantmännen Unibake announced that it has acquired Boboli Benelux, a Dutch leader in savoury bakery products, providing customer solutions across bake-off and chilled technologies. Oppenheimer Europe Ltd. acted as financial adviser to Lantmännen Unibake.

Lantmännen Unibake is a leading international bakery group, headquartered in Copenhagen. It operates modern bakeries in multiple countries, employs approximately 6,000 people, and sells its products in over 60 markets. Its portfolio includes well-known B2B and B2C brands such as Schulstad, Schulstad Bakery Solutions, Bonjour, Americana, Vaasan, Myllyn Paras, Pastridor, and Hatting. Part of the farmer-owned Lantmännen Group, Lantmännen Unibake is rooted in the Nordics and dedicated to delivering safe, healthy, and sustainable bakery products worldwide.

Boboli Benelux is a leading bakery in the savoury bread category, headquartered in Bunschoten, the Netherlands. It has served the European market for more than 25 years with products such as sharing breads, pizzas, focaccias, and specialty breads. It partners with retailers, foodservice operators, and industrial clients to deliver tailor-made concepts across retail, convenience, and foodservice channels. Dedicated to quality, innovation, and growth, Boboli Benelux plays an active role in the fast-developing savoury bakery market.

The transaction reinforces Oppenheimer’s position as a leading M&A adviser in the European consumer sector and in particular within the food & beverage sub-sector. This follows Oppenheimer advising Vandemoortele on its acquisitions of Délifrance, Lizzi and Dolciaria Acquaviva, Finsbury Food Group Plc on its recommended acquisition by DBAY Advisors, Leprino Foods on its acquisition of Glanbia’s UK and European cheese business, Groupe Bel on the sale of its Leerdammer cheese business, and HEMA on the sale of its HEMA Bakeries division.
