Ari Wald is Managing Director and Senior Analyst providing Technical Analysis for the firm. Our Technical analysis starts from the top with a focus on market direction and sector/industry selection that is overlaid with a traditional bottom-up approach. We only recommend trades in the direction of the trend and only buy the best ideas that fit the profile. We base this on our philosophy that momentum investing, aka buying leadership has tended to outperform over time. We like to let our winners run, add to them when it’s advantageous, and cut losers quickly.

Ari Wald is Managing Director and Senior Analyst providing Technical Analysis for the firm. Ari joined the firm from Wolfe Research where he was Vice President and Head of Technical Analysis. Prior to that, he was a member of the Institutional Portfolio Strategy team at Brown Brothers Harriman. Ari graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Statistics and Mathematics. He holds the CFA, the CMT, and he is actively involved with the Market Technicians Association.
