Oppenheimer Employees Unite to Fight Hunger This Holiday Season

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. January 05, 2026

This holiday season, Oppenheimer employees across the country came together with a shared purpose: to help fight hunger in the communities we serve. We are proud to announce that our Annual Holiday Food Drive, supporting City Harvest and Feeding America, was a great success.

Thanks to the generosity of our teams nationwide, employees contributed both food and financial donations—raising more than $3,400 and collecting over 1,400 pounds of food. Through City Harvest alone, Oppenheimer raised enough funds to provide more than 3,200 New Yorkers with a day’s worth of meals. Beyond supporting national organizations, several branches also partnered with local food pantries, ensuring assistance reached neighbors within their own communities.

Food insecurity remains a significant challenge in the United States. According to Feeding America, 47 million people, including 13 million children, face hunger nationwide. Every dollar donated helps provide at least 10 meals to community members in need, highlighting the meaningful impact of collective giving.

City Harvest and Feeding America play critical roles in addressing food insecurity across the country. City Harvest works tirelessly to rescue surplus food and deliver it to people in need throughout New York City, helping feed millions each year. Feeding America supports a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks, food pantries, and 60,000 local meal programs, working alongside communities to ensure people have access to the food and resources they need.

By supporting these organizations, our food drive helped deliver nutritious meals to families, children, seniors, and individuals—especially during the holiday season, when food insecurity can be particularly challenging.

What made this initiative especially meaningful was the enthusiasm and compassion shown by employees at every level of the organization. From donating food and making financial contributions to organizing collections at local offices, our teams demonstrated how collective action can create lasting, positive change. As we look ahead, Oppenheimer remains committed to supporting organizations that strengthen our communities and help those in need.
