Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. acted as Exclusive Financial Advisor to 1251 Capital Group on its sale of Red Granite to F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company
On September 2, 2026, F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company (“FLP”) announced the acquisition of Red Granite from an affiliate of 1251 Capital Group. The transaction establishes FLP’s first presence in Wisconsin and second location in the Midwest while adding a differentiated large-cap equity strategy to its investment platform.
Red Granite is a Milwaukee-based investment management group led by Co-Chief Investment Officers Joel D. Vrabel, CFA, and David J. Drzadinski, CFA, CPA. The team has managed a large-cap growth equity strategy together since 1996 and oversees more than $1 billion in assets for private clients as of August 31, 2026. Red Granite’s flagship strategy employs a fundamental, bottom-up approach that seeks to outperform the Russell 1000 Growth Index over a market cycle while maintaining lower risk and volatility.
Following the transaction, Red Granite’s six-person team will continue working from its downtown Milwaukee office. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
