Oppenheimer’s European Consumer Investment Banking Team is pleased to have acted as Financial Adviser to Zensho Holdings on its acquisition of Sushi & Food Factor
On 19 March 2026, The Wonderfield Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the listed Japanese entity Zensho Holdings, announced the acquisition of Sushi & Food Factor, a leading Polish producer of packaged sushi and convenience food products. Terms of the transaction are undisclosed with completion subject to antitrust approval in each of Poland and Germany. Oppenheimer Europe Ltd. acted as financial adviser to Zensho Holdings.
The Wonderfield Group specialises in the preparation of Japanese cuisines with a focus on sushi, which it offers alongside a variety of other food-to-go products including cut fruit & vegetables, salads, bento and poke. Leveraging a versatile business model across three key channels: its chef-operated and franchised Kiosks business in partnership with blue-chip grocery retailers, its Sushi Commissaries business, and its Restaurants business; the company trades under multiple brands including Bento, Snowfox / Snowfruit, Sushi Circle, Sushi Izu, Sushi Take, Taiko, Yo! and Zenshi. Overall, the Wonderfield Group is a trusted operator in North America, Australia, Europe and the UK.

Sushi & Food Factor is one of the key players in the packaged sushi category in Europe. Operating as a manufacturer and supplier of ready meals, it specialises in packaged sushi and convenience food products under private label and co-manufacturing models for the largest grocery retail chains in Poland and Europe.
This transaction reinforces Oppenheimer’s position as a leading M&A adviser in the European consumer sector and in particular within the food & beverage sub-sector. The engagement follows Oppenheimer advising Lantmännen Unibake on its acquisition of Boboli Benelux, Vandemoortele on its acquisitions of Délifrance, Lizzi and Dolciaria Acquaviva, Finsbury Food Group Plc on its recommended acquisition by DBAY Advisors, Leprino Foods on its acquisition of Glanbia’s UK and European cheese business, Groupe Bel on the sale of its Leerdammer cheese business, and HEMA on the sale of its HEMA Bakeries division.
