Adam’s first hand family experience has led him to a lifetime of motivated legacy planning for others. Two generations of his own family were successful entrepreneurs who ran large business that ended without fanfare or reward. He knows where pitfalls lay, and is in a unique position to skillfully shepherd business owners and family offices toward risk-managed transition and liquidity events. Leveraging Summa Group experience and their deep coterie of resources both within and outside of Oppenheimer, Adam engages clients’ other advisory professionals to present a holistic, flexible, integrated plan, which is a hallmark of his group.
His guidance has proven essential with myriad complexities that present themselves after liquidity transactions close. Often these issues are deeply personal for both client and Adam alike. Identities are built over decades, and when an individual chapter transitions, the life of an entrepreneur can change in kind, and pose unforeseen, unique problems. With the proper planning, flexible enough to handle the swings of economy and personality alike, confidence can be borne.
Providing such confidence and competency is very rewarding to Adam, as he is never far from the memories of his ancestors’ experiences, which inform his actions and reactions today. These attributes inform his technical and wealth management prowess. His proficiency spans asset protection, buyout agreements, trust and philanthropic programs, to key-man and insurance planning. Working closely with his client’s most trusted advisers, Adam delivers highly customized strategies for families with complex and sometimes complicated dynamics.
