Oppenheimer's Owen Lau Named AAPI Research Analyst of the Year

We congratulate Executive Director, Owen Lau as he was named the Asian American Pacific Islander Research Analyst of the Year by Wealth Solutions Report.
Owen has been with Oppenheimer for seven years and covers financial technology companies, including exchanges, information analytics, and digital assets sectors, which means he sits at the intersection of emerging technologies, new asset classes, and changing regulations. Additionally, the areas he covers have seen demand during changing markets and a growing digital economy. How does he describe his sector? “Exciting!”
I would advise all members of the AAPI community to continue to network, do the work, and believe in yourself – regardless of where they are on their career journey. I believe that the future of the industry depends on diversity. I also think that as an industry we’re making progress, but have more miles to cover.
He continues, “From an equity research perspective, the market environment is not at all day-to-day; it is constantly changing, and may be volatile – which is often challenging or confusing for investors. That is when clients needs us the most. In these moments, I am passionate about helping people make the best decisions possible for the long term.”
