Tuesday 8/18 at 12:30pm: Panel - Women in Biotechnology, moderated by Meredith Sondler-Bazar, Executive Director at Oppenheimer. This panel will focus on the role of women in biotech today and look at various issues including the role of women CEOs, leaders and entrepreneurs, female board members and investors in biotech today, the changing landscape for female employees in light of covid-19 and exciting companies focused on women’s health. The panelists will be:

• Rachel Haurwitz, President & CEO of Caribou Biosciences, Inc.
  Rachel is a co-founder of Caribou Biosciences and has been President and CEO since its inception in 2011. She has a research background in CRISPR-Cas biology, and is also a co-founder of Intellia Therapeutics.
• Roni Mamluk, Ph.D., Founder & CEO of Ayala Pharmaceuticals
  Roni Mamluk, Ph.D. is a senior biopharmaceutical executive with 16 years of experience in drug development companies and background in all aspects of R&D, general management and fundraising.
• Lilian Stern, Principal – Stern IR
  Lilian founded Stern IR to provide differentiated IR services to the biotechnology industry, focusing on high level and value-added practices including strategy and positioning in addition to superlative tactical execution to connect Stern IR clients to Wall Street.
• Yvonne Yamanaka, Ph.D., Principal – venBio
  Yvonne Yamanaka, Ph.D., is a Principal at venBio with a background in biological engineering and life science company creation.

Wednesday 8/19 at 12:30p: Keynote Speaker – Dr. Scott Gottlieb discussing the landscape for emerging biotechnology as well as providing an update on the current state of Covid-19.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb, MD is a physician and served as the 23rd Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Gottlieb’s work focuses on advancing public health through developing and implementing innovative approaches to improving medical outcomes, reshaping healthcare delivery, and expanding consumer choice and safety.
